Behind the song "Without You" In 2007 I left my hometown and my old (terrible) life in search of adventure, purpose and god. I ended up landing at a youth organisation called youth with a mission or ywam for short. It was like the most epic summer camp ever. I met people from all over the world that in a very short amount of time became like family to me. my life had changed for the better and i naively thought it would never end. 7 months later, all of a sudden we're having our graduation dinner and then the next day I find myself back in my hometown, in a shitty bachelor pad (with some great friends though) and I'm feeling something that was equivalent to being heart-broken. I had become a different person and I really liked who I became. I loved who I was when I was with them and now, it's just me, alone, without them. I had no idea who I was without them and at the time, I didn't want to know, I just wanted to be with them. This song is just me singing about that very specific moment and that feeling.
